We keep rescheduling our tasks, but what about the mental processes related to those tasks? We let it weigh on our mind today, even though it’s tomorrow’s business.
You want to live freely and efficiently, you have to unload the pressure over both the mind and the body. You can only run farther and faster only if you unload.
Work never stops. You complete one task on your to-do list, another one shows up out of nowhere. What we can stop is ‘ourselves’ in the moment. We stop to refresh or reboot our mind.
So start reducing your baggage, if you want to travel further ahead than anyone every has.
Discipline isn’t always good.We should make little changes in our life every day.It isn’t only refreshing but also makes you resilient and flexible.
Little changes like eating a new snack, running in a park instead on a treadmill or trying a different colour combination of clothes.
These small surprises make you used to surprises. It will be a great help when you need to adjust in an environment you can’t control.
There are only two ways to counter a problem: Either you solve it or forget it’s existence,at least for the time being.
First one is a very palpable option! What about the latter? Solving is what everyone of us try to do.But sometimes we need to forget. We cannot do everything all the time,at least alone.Over-stressing doesn’t help you face problems but preparing for stress does. You sometimes need to wait for the right time and opportunity.
Isn’t our education system a great example for it? We don’t teach college level math to a middle schooler – not because they can’t solve it – but because they can’t solve it RIGHT NOW.
If we could solve all of our problems in one day,we wouldn’t have any problems on the next day.But that doesn’t happen, does it? If you can solve something, solve it.If you can’t solve something, prepare for it.
Your body experiences stress because it is not ready to face something.Change your readiness. When you experience stress symptoms pinpoint it to its source.Once you know the source, you know the cause and when you know the cause, you can be prepared for it.This is prevention. When you eat medicines to suppress your stress symptoms it’s effective, but when is it effective? After you have already experienced the symptoms.Waiting to be treated after suffering doesn’t make sense. You need prevention. It is vital. And prevention comes from readiness.Physical and mental.
Happiness for me is an open garden with beautiful flowers.Flowers do fade away or get crushed though. That’s the inevitability of life and one must be prepared for it.If you want to sustain your beautiful garden – you will have to protect it and tend to it.You will have to face a lot of threats, get some wounds in the process and feel the pain for your dream. The more of it you feel, will either make you more determined to protect something precious to you or force you to give up and watch in terror as you lose everything. If you want peace of mind you will have to tend to your thoughts and behaviour and ward off any stressors out of the way.You can’t remain ignorant and happy at the same time. This may be your reality but certainly not your full world.
If you are concerned about what other people would think of what you do before even you start doing it – then just forget about getting started at all.
How stress works: you are like a child in the room. You use some stuff then you don’t.Or you repeatedly keep using the same stuff and don’t use the other things at all.You keep your stuff back in place or maybe you don’t.The more disorganized your room becomes, the more difficult your life gets when trying to do something in particular or something of significance.
In the same way the mind is made up of facts, beliefs and experiences. If you don’t keep them in place or scatter them around, the more blurry your cognition gets. And when you actually want something, you panic and go haywire. The only way to get rid of the mess is to start correction at the source. The key is to either fix the child (you) or fix the room (your mind). So either you change yourself to become more organized or you organize the room while staying true to who you are.Either adapt to the surroundings or construct your surroundings in such a way that they adapt to your ways.Either accept the change you make in you or accept the circumstances as they are.
Don’t avoid stress.Cope with it.And that starts with acceptance.
Working with the best tools brings efficient results easily. In the same way when you keep your mind and body healthy by eating right and thinking right, you are honing your body which is your tool to achieve your goals.
Sheer hard work is not wrong but it is stressful sometimes. You need to play the game of life smartly if you are to win in the end.Take care of yourself.Love and teach yourself.Don’t hesitate to take a break.
If you are to get the same thing done within the same time limit then try this or you will drastically reduce your whole lifespan and regret that you didn’t live long enough to experience everything. You will fail that’s inevitable. But if you accept that then you are guaranteed to win.
Plan everything. But don’t freak out when things don’t go according to your plan.Just get things done.Worry consumes too much energy and time. Both of which are limited for us.And you know what’s funny? Things don’t get done even if you plan every last detail to the point. It just gets done some or the other way if you persevere. That means,EVERYTHING GETS DONE,BUT NOT EXACTLY THE WAY YOU PLAN.Don’t sweat.Just do what you gotta do.Inspiration, motivation, satisfaction – all these things get spurred by action only.A potato doesn’t do anything. It just sits there.Hence it has got no ambition. No life.(I don’t mean to hurt your feelings potato! I love you!)
This is not a formula for success. It is a formula to face failure. You can only succeed if you accept failure as a part of your life.If you get scared of losing you footing, then how are you gonna climb up forever? Acceptance makes you stronger.Avoidance just brings conflict of identity. It makes you wonder who you really are because you never step out in the game and assess yourself. And if you don’t evaluate yourself, then how you’re going to grow? Isn’t that what we humans,or rather every living being has done since the beginning of time?
