An accommodating attitude helps us understand the world better than an expecting attitude.
When we see things for what they truly are, the illusion of how they should be goes away. And we get to see the reality, as we should.
Truth guides us. Illusion strays us from the path. Believing in an illusion feels good, but believing in the truth is liberating. Because in the end, the truth comprises our reality, and illusion, our minds.
Imagine you’re in a boat with some people. All of a sudden you notice a hole in the center of the boat from where water is leaking in to the boat slowly. You warn the others. They all ignore your warnings, saying that it’s nothing to worry about. So what do you do? You remain ignorant or start throwing out the water and fix the hole?
This is something which is happening today. Whether it is on the global scale like climate change or maybe something in your locality which needs fixing. There are some people who remain ignorant, while others do something to bring change.
There’s no way to just save the right people and just let the ignorance perish away. When we see some people not contributing to a group, we get frustrated and stop working altogether hurting everyone’s chances in long run.
All you could hope is your efforts will change people’s mind and melt their hearts.
An open mind doesn’t equal to an open heart.
Just because you listen to an opinion doesn’t mean you have to like it. With an open mind, evaluate it. With an open heart feel what feels good and right.
Psychologists don’t read mind. They study behaviour.
Being open minded is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
Meditation is important for creativity. But how?
When you’re awake you’re applying your conscious mind into particular activity or activities.Your unconscious mind is the buzzing in the background that you get used to and come to ignore.That is why your conscious action and unconscious idea don’t mix up; and you don’t connect the dots to come up with creative ways to change the way of life.
While sleeping your scope of conscious mind reduces drastically and your unconscious mind takes over.Now you get access to your unconscious mumbling,but still no process of creativity takes place.You just randomly go through different memories without a particular goal since conscious mind’s focus is gone.
Meditation lies in between this spectrum.You are in control of your conscious mind but you don’t preoccupy yourself with the its thoughts,hence giving unconscious mind a part of the field.So there’s no power play but only sharing through which you come up with awesome ideas.
Two heads are better than one and meditation is the way to form the team.
But you must also remember that too many cooks spoil the broth.So for some people meditation is not always the answer.
That’s why we all must try to tailor generalised findings in nature to suit our particular needs.One person’s stash is another person’s treasure.
It’s tough to become perfect.Because deep down we are driven by our instincts on which we have no control.It’s the absolute or close to absolute control over your mind and body that sets you on the path of perfection.
There’s nothing more valuable than a peaceful mind and a healthy body.
Emotion is a state of mind.You can choose to be happy or you can choose to be sad.
It is true that your environment has a big influence on which and how much of a emotion is triggered within you.But you have the choice to feel or not to feel those emotions.
It is like a two-way switch.The outside world will flick on-off your switch as many times as they want because it is just a plaything for them.They are not going to experience any effect after all.
But you are in control of the master switch inside of you which turns on and off on your volition.If your volition is dominated by that minuscule switch that the world is playing with,then you are at their mercy.You have no control over yourself.You don’t get to choose for you.You have lost your freedom.
Control your switch.Take control it because it is yours.Your emotions are yours to experience when you want them to experience.World is a stimulus not a source of your emotion.
You can’t calm down a storm.You can only calm yourself to face the storm.
