The long-term negative outcome (dramatic changes in the climate) is far away in the future. The individual benefits are occurring right now (such as driving to work alone in one’s own car). Thus making it difficult to see how many costs there really are.

Similarly, short-term costs of a behaviour lead individuals to avoid performing it, and this may prevent the long term benefits that would have occurred if the behaviours had been performed. For instance, cooking at home has short-term time and energy costs, but at least you avoid the long-term monetary and health costs associated with eating outside.

It is easy to assume that you won’t live long enough to witness the end of the world.

It is easy to assume that you live only once, making it acceptable to go all out while you still can.

But is it right to assume and do whatever you want in your time and leave nothing for the future?

Order

There is a fine line between freedom and chaos.

Why cannibalism is bad for human society? If we put moral ethics aside,we do eat meat of other species then what’s wrong with eating human meet?

Well simply because it will create more chaos than freedom.More fear than rejuvenation. And more dread than the end of the world.

Innovation

Don’t compare yourself to the people in the past. They are way back in time and our job is to walk forward. And only way we can do that is when we try new ideas.Repeating and following the old ones will just bring us up to the present, not take us into the future.

Reasonable

People do things for a reason. As long as they don’t harm others or self that reason is valid.

When you harm someone to get what you want you abandon your humanity (which is not great thing to do as a human is it?).We are not animals,or rather we are not primitive. We have higher order thinking, just use it and you don’t need to harm anyone.

When it comes to harming oneself that’s a bit trickier to breakdown. Many people believe that life is sacred. And that totally makes sense because life is so unique in our world,in our universe. But doesn’t a sacred life deserves the right dignity? Harming oneself without having control on oneself is a call for help and we should help. But making a decision to take away your life after trying everything out is different.A person who has tried everything they could and still not feel like they should live, should be let go.Death doesn’t have to bad it is just a choice.Whether or not that choice is regretted is a consequence for that person to bear.We can only hope to do our best to help them as long as we can.But I guess if we try our best nobody needs to go away in the end. There’s always a way out,no matter how unlikely the possibility.
