If you want to know where a person’s interest lies, then ask them where they’re getting there money from.
Life is a venture written by various authors – by you,by those around you and by the destiny itself.Everyone writes in secrecy their own tale and surprises the other with their own twist.
You cannot stop the others from writing their own thoughts (and you shouldn’t); but what you can do is fill your content with the best dreams you ever had and hope for the greatest possible adventure ever.
Create your own happiness and expect the world to throw its worst at you.
If you want to be the best, then get used to criticism.
You cannot be the number ‘one’ and be loved by all at the same time.
That awkward moment when you realize that everyone is taking a shortcut and now that shortcut is all clogged up and the old long-cut is the new shortcut now.
When I say I write for my pleasure – I mean that it gives me pleasure to give people something worth reading and not keeping my pen hidden in isolation.
In life either we are interested in ‘learning’ about something or we are interested in ‘doing’ something.
That’s the difference between ideal job and real job.
When we help children or old people too much – not only they become more dependent on us but also less empowered from within.
They are not incapable – they’re just either less informed or slow due to aging.
Our way of communication also impacts them – instead of saying ‘I will do it’,we say ‘you can’t do this so let me’.
Help them only when they ask for it – strike a balance between being overbearing and being ignorant.
Do not control – just empower.
We all gamble at some point in our lives. Some of us relish the prizes won,and some of us regret the choices lost. And every conscious being has a tendency to avoid risk that comes at a great cost.So much so that evolution has fixated in us certain reflexes to unconsciously avoid hurtful things.
Ironically, today some of us are voluntarily diving head-straight into life threatening risks. What happened to our survival instincts? Years ago when life was more unstable, we tried to gather (or forcibly take away from others) lots of resources and pass it onto our next generation. Now,we don’t feel the same threat anymore,so we nurture other species as our own,or others of our species as our own, with no feelings of competitiveness or inconvenience. We even engage in high stimulating activities out of nostalgia of our ancestors who had to escape from a bear or something every other day.
So,it goes onto show us that as competition for resources or levels of life-threats go down,we feel more secure and tolerant of each other.Today we see and feel discrimination because deep down we feel insecure of things being taken away from us.Once innovation stands in and everyone is provided for,the word threat itself will cease to exist.
In my recent post ‘brain’ I mentioned that a small plate tricks us into eating less food.
But it is only applicable to a certain types of food or under specific circumstances.
The following article explains another perspective:
A problem is a problem when you deem it as a problem.Instead of regretting your bad choices, focus on correcting its negative implications. You may feel the urge to start over, but the thing is – when you run and fall down, you just get up and start running again; you don’t go back to the starting post and begin running all over again.
