Society is an outgrowth of the dominant economic model. Globally our economy describes to us we need to work to pay to live. This model encourages self preservation above social cohesion, it promotes the hoarding of resources, and divides us in a multitude of ways. It also sidelines concern for the environment which supports our lives promoting profits and wealth above all else.
True. The origin of society lies in preservation of humanity. The problem arises we narrow down our focus on society and forget about the broader environment that sustains it. We need to affiliate with environment which is real and dilute the importance of society which is artificial.

I think it is more to do with selflessness and compassion. If we accept our differences with love and understanding it is so beautiful and uplifting.
