Subjectivity of Pain

You can’t measure or judge someone’s pain in numbers or in words. Two people can have the same injury but very different feeling toward the pain. One might be more resilient to pain, ignoring it. Other one might be very sensitive to pain, feeling handicapped.

One’s perception of pain doesn’t make one stronger or weaker than the other. It just makes them different. Too much resilience to pain is blinding and too much sensitivity to pain is crippling. Balance is created by an environment where people don’t judge you for having and feeling pain.
